  • ADMISSION PROCEDURES
 
Admission is open for Boys & Girls to class KG Section every year. Admission to higher classes are given only if vacancies exist and are filled up as per the decision of the school management. Admission is open for all eligible candidates irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Admission will be granted to the students purely on merit, strictly based on availability of seats. A list of students who have qualified will be displayed at the school premises. Prospectus, including application form will be supplied from the school counter on payment of Rs. 500/-.
 
Following documents must be submitted at the time of admission.
  • Birth certificate / Transfer Certificate/ Migration Certificate
  • Photocopy of report card up to the last exam.
  • Character certificate.
  • Photocopy of Aadhar Card.
  • Two recent colored passport size photograph of the candidate.
  • Original and photocopies of certificates received in extra-curricular activities.

FEE POLICY:

The fees cover twelve calender months and may be paid in monthly installment or in advance. No reduction is made for holidays or broken periods. The fees paid to the school are neither refundable nor transferrable under any circumstance. Necessary articles will be provided to the wards without the guardian's/parents consent and the amount will be debited to the concerned account accordingly. Transfer certificate, character certificate etc. will not be issued until all dues are paid in full.

TUITION & HOSTEL FEES

Please note, all tuition fees are in accordance with the fee structure established by STMAIS under the guidance of CBSE.

 Fee Counter Timings at school: 9.00 A.M. – 2.00 P.M. Friday to Saturday & Sunday off

  • The school fees should be paid on/before 20th of every month.
  • Hostel fee must be paid on/ before the last date, thereafter a fine of Rs.10/ day shall be charged up to the end of the quarter. After the end of the quarter, the name of the boarder shall be struck off the roll and re admission fee will be charged.
  • Any boarder leaving the school in the middle of the academic year has to pay the boarding fee of the whole year.
  • The date of tuition Fee payable in a year is mentioned in School diary. Fees can be paid in advance also.
  • All fee dues inclusive of fees for the month of March must be paid on or before 20th March.
  • Classes 10 & 12: All fee dues inclusive of fees for the month of March must be paid on or before 1st February. Admit cards for the Board Examinations will be issued only after all fee & library dues are cleared.

  • School has provided School App to each parent for Online Fee payments.
  • We encourage online payment rather than sending cash or cheques through students.

  • Admission fee needs to be paid within seven working days from the date of Admission acceptance letter. After which the seat will be treated as vacant and may be allotted to the next candidate in the merit list.
  • Payment made towards the Application form and its processing is non refundable and does not guaranteed applicants admission.
  • Admission of a student to the school will be treated as acceptance of all school rules (as in force or amended from time to time) by the parents / guardians. Rules are subject to change at the discretion of the school Management.
  • Name and Date of birth as recorded in the previous school transfer certificate will be considered final. Parents / guardians must therefore, ensure that these entries are correct to avoid any problem latter.

The principal reserves the right to accept or reject application for admission / readmission without assigning any reason.

General Guidelines For Parents / Guardians

  • The School believes in discipline. Disobedience and disregard of rules will not be tolerated and any work or action likely to lower the image of the school is regarded as a breach of the school discipline.
  • The School reserves the right to expel students whose diligence or progress in studies is considered unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students. Immorality, insubordination or contempt of authority and breaking bounds are always sufficient reasons for immediate expulsion.
  • Parents are requested not to enter the class rooms to meet their children or teachers during the school hours without the permission of the Principal.
  • They are required to inform the school if there is any change in their address or telephone numbers.
  • Leave for I/2 day should not be asked for security reasons. In emergency, written permission must be taken from the principal through the class teacher and the bus in-charge.
  • Children, suffering from infections diseases, should not be sent to school to attend tests / classes.
  • Attention of parents is drawn to the fact that criticism of the teacher or school in the presence of their children should be scrupulously avoided because it causes the students to lose respect for their teachers with the consequent failure to learn from them. It further retards their progress.
  • Should there be any legitimate complaint, please meet the Principal at once or write in a separate letter addressed to him. He will look into these matters personally.
  • Any communication made by parents / guardians should be addressed to the Principal and not to the class teachers and correspondence from the school to the parents must be through the Principal
  • The name, admission number , class and section of the students should be clearly marked on their belongings such as bags, Tiffin boxes, water bottles etc.
  • Parents are requested to co-operate with the school in its attempt to help their children's progress by paying attention to their regularity, punctuality and discipline and by taking interest in their home work. They should check the Diary every day and note the home work and other instructions in the diary. In case of small children, the parents advised to check the bag of their wards to see if any notice / invitation has been issued.
  • Care must be taken of all school property and any damage caused by a student will be made good by the student concerned. In addition to it a fine will be imposed for the offence.
  • The students should be recognized not only by their School Uniform but only by their good conduct and behavior as students of St. Michael Anglo Indian School.

General Instructions For Students :

LEAVE AND ABSENCE
 
Every student must have at least 85% attendance to appear in any of the terminal examination. Those who fail to fulfil this criterion for any terminal will be debarred from that terminal examination and marked zero for the same in the mark sheet. Request from the defaulters in this regard will not be entertained. 85% attendance criterion is applicable to each of the two examinations separately. Benefits of having more attendance for a particular terminal examination will not be transferred to the other examination.
In case of a child remains absent for three consecutive days without permission after a long vacation or in the beginning of the session. his / her name will be struck off the School Rolls. For rest of the session, absence for six consecutive days, without prior permission, will lead to the name of the child being struck off the Rolls. Readmission will be purely at the discretion of the Principal and that too, with full admission fee.
All students are expected to join the school on the notified date at the beginning of the school term. A fine of Rs. 10/- is imposed for absence on the reopening date unless the Principal is informed before the beginning of the term and satisfied about the reason. Leave may be granted to the students only on the following grounds.
            i) In case of serious illness or death of a near relative.
            ii) For the condolence visits if the student is the only male member of the family and his presence is essential according to the custom.
            iii) To attend the marriage of his / her own brother, sister or brother / sister of either parent.
